Compensation
LJP
has a professional compensation
plan that rivals top regional
and national intellectual
property law firms. Our innovative
compensation system allows
our attorneys and agents to
have more control over their
compensation.
Attorneys
at LJP are compensated as
a percent of billed revenue.
The compensation percentage
starts at 40% for new associates
(38% for agents) and increases
with experience. While our
billing goal for attorneys
is 1700 hours annually, for
any revenue billed over 1700
hours, the compensation percent
is increased by 10%. Thus,
revenue based bonuses are
predictable and in control
of the professional.
To
assist in developing well-rounded
attorneys, LJP also provides
discretionary incentive bonuses
for non-billable contributions.
We also acknowledge that quality
of life and family time are
important to maintaining a
healthy career. Although our
1700 hour billing goal ranks
at the low end of national
IP law firm requirements,
we have the flexibility to
structure competitive compensation
at reduced billing goals.
