Kenneth W. Bolvin
is a registered patent attorney practicing in the areas
of telecommunications, integrated circuit design, and
computer hardware and software. Prior to joining LJP,
Ken was a solo practitioner in Dallas, Texas where he
focused his practice on opinion matters and patent prosecution
in a wide variety of technologies including the cellular
telephone art, printers, Internet related processes,
and integrated circuit design.
Previously,
he was in-house counsel at Ericsson, Inc. performing
various IP related tasks including counseling clients
on patent and trademark related matters, performing
trademark searches, and managing the local IP department.
He has also practiced as in-house counsel for Nortel
Networks, QUALCOMM, and Motorola where he was patent
counsel for the North American Cellular Subscriber Group.
Ken was also a test equipment design engineer for Rockwell
International, Collins Government Avionics Div. while
in college and after graduation.
Ken
earned his bachelors degree in electrical engineering
at Purdue University, his law degree from Chicago-Kent
College of Law, and is licensed to practice law in Illinois,
Texas, and Minnesota. He is a member of the American
Intellectual Property Law Association, Aircraft Owners
and Pilots Association, and Professional Aviation Maintenance
Association.
