Terrance
C. Newby
is a 1989 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison,
and received his JD from the William Mitchell College
of Law in 1995. Terry served as an Associate Editor
on the William Mitchell Law Review.
Terry
has extensive commercial litigation experience, and
has successfully represented clients in state and federal
courts throughout the country in diverse matters including
complex insurance disputes, class actions, and civil
RICO claims. He has also represented clients in cases
involving insurance coverage for patent litigation and
trademark infringement.
In
his current practice, Terry represents clients in major
cases involving copyrights, trademarks, and related
intellectual property issues. In addition to trial work,
Terry also has significant appellate experience, and
has briefed and argued appeals involving complex commercial
disputes in various jurisdictions.
Prior
to joining LJP, Terry was a litigator with Zelle, Hofmann,
and Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, Minneapolis-based
firms with offices nationwide.
