Daniel
J. Polglaze
is a founding shareholder and is a registered patent
attorney practicing in the electrical arts including
computer hardware and software, telecommunications,
semiconductors, medical devices, and related licensing
and opinion matters.
Dan received both his B.S. in Electrical and Computer
Engineering (B.S.E.E., 1991), and his law degree (J.D.,
cum laude, 1994), from the University of Wisconsin.
Dan began his career at the Minneapolis intellectual
property law firm of Moore & Hansen, where he practiced
for nearly four years in electrical and mechanical patent
prosecution, litigation support and trademark law. In
June, 1998, Dan joined Schwegman, Lundberg, Woessner
& Kluth, PA, practicing in high-technology electrical
patent law, including preparation, prosecution, licensing,
and opinions.
While at Schwegman, Dan managed the firm's satellite
attorney program. Dan also prepared and presented training
materials and presentations on court decisions pertaining
to patent law, including business-method patents and
topics in electrical patent prosecution.
Dan is admitted to practice law in Minnesota and Wisconsin,
and is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association,
the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association,
the American Intellectual Property Law Association,
the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association,
and the Hennepin County Bar Association.
